Teknodiver You will never dive alone

About us

A company in Galatone that designs, cuts and sews diving suits — and performs testing on them one by one before dispatching them.

“You will never dive alone”

The motto was coined several years ago to capture the spirit of the company: you’ll never feel alone whilst diving. It’s the added value that Teknodiver aims to offer to those who choose one of its diving suits.

A diving suit, whatever type it may be, is an essential piece of kit for every diver’s safety and comfort. Providing you with a product that meets your needs is our top priority: that is why we take great care with every diving suit we produce, and nothing is left to chance.

The ‘Made in Italy’ label embodies tradition, artistry and professional expertise. It represents years of study, research and design, and every stage of production is monitored and supervised in-house.

CE certification

Every diving suit produced in the Teknodiver workshops is certified in accordance with current European standards: drysuits in accordance with EN 14225-2:2005, and wetsuits in accordance with EN 14225-1:2005.

Each model is tested by certification bodies, including functional tests, material stress tests, thermal dispersion tests and practical tests.

    Design

Each model is conceived, developed and modified using computerised techniques, and the sizes are constantly updated to ensure comfort and a good fit. This process requires hours of work on each model.

For many years, Teknodiver has been designing and manufacturing wetsuits and drysuits specifically for military special units, European special forces, civil protection agencies and rescue teams.

    Selection of materials

The choice of materials is one of our key strengths: our ongoing research into neoprene and linings enables us to identify the most suitable, safe and comfortable material for every application.

The use of hypoallergenic materials and components is a priority: diving suits are designed to protect the wearer, and this is taken into account in every decision.

    Manufactured in Italy

Every product is researched, designed and manufactured in Teknodiver’s laboratories in Italy. This enables us to oversee development and production in accordance with European quality and safety standards.

At the end of the production cycle, every product is labelled ‘Made in Italy’, confirming where it was actually manufactured.

    Quality control and traceability

At the end of each production cycle, the diving suit is sent for quality control: staff dedicated solely to this task check every single part, and only then is the go-ahead given for packaging.

Drysuits are 100 per cent tested in specialised tanks to check the integrity of the seams and their watertightness. Once the test has been passed, the drysuit moves on to serial numbering.

Every component used is recorded in a technical data sheet: a sort of ‘DNA’ of the finished product, which makes it possible to trace the batch of materials used, as required by European legislation on traceability.

    Customisation

Once you have chosen the model, the diving suit can be customised with accessories: pockets in various shapes and sizes, latex wrist seals, Kevlar reinforcements, ‘comfort zip’ zippers and other optional features.

    Made to measure

The ‘made to measure’ service is designed for those who want something extra from their diving suit: made to measure manufacturing ensures you get a model that is tailored to the wearer’s body shape.

We start with the measurements sheet: once completed and submitted, it contains all the information needed to make the diving suit.

    After-sales support

The service department carries out routine and non-routine maintenance. A well-stocked spare parts store ensures that repaired items are returned promptly.

Every repair is recorded in the product file, so the repair history remains accessible for years to come.
